Los Angeles at Seattle

The Mariners have gotten crushed in the first two games of this series, losing 1-7 and 2-11. Why do they have a chance here? Let's not forget the Angels are still a losing road team. And, the Mariners start left-hander Jason Vargas here. Vargas has been great this season, going 4-1 at home with a 2.36 ERA. And, LA really struggles vs. LHP. While getting close to 5 runs per game vs. RHP, they average only 3.9 per game vs. southpaws. As bad as Seattle is on the road, they are a decent home team, entering this series with a winning record in this park. I like the Mariners here. I also like the UNDER. Seattle as we know is a very low-scoring team. They are 16-12 UNDER at home this season, averaging 3.6 runs per game. But they also hold teams down in this park, having allowed only 3.9 runs per game on average at home. The Angles get only 3.9 runs per game vs. LHP. When facing an AL team that scores under 3.8 runs per game, Joel Pineiro is a perfect 8-0 UNDER. Seattle is 22-7 UNDER at home when instilled as a home favorite of -100 to -125 the past two seasons. I like the Mariners and the UNDER here.

2 units on Seattle -120 (moneyline) (risk 2 to return 2)
