Los Angeles at Seattle

The L.A. Angels continue to be overvalued, losing again yesterday and dropping four of the last six and losing twice as chalk. The offense looks so good on paper but isn't getting it done on the field, 15th in runs scored. LA is just 3-8 on the road and starter Jason Vargas has been terrible, with ten walks in 21 innings. The Angels are 5-12 in their last 17 against the American League West and 1-7 in their last eight road games versus a right-handed starter.  The Mariners are 19-7 as a home favorite and have Hisashi Iwakuma on the hill. Iwakuma has a 1.23 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 29 1/3 innings against the Angels and won all four of his starts against the Angels last season. The Mariners are 6-2 in Iwakuma's last eight starts while the Angels are 1-4 in the last five meetings in Seattle. Play the Mariners.
