Los Angeles snapped a four-game skid with a 5-2 win over Arizona on Sunday as Mickey Moniak hit a go-ahead three-run homer and Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout added solo shots for the Angels. Los Angeles had won four of Jamie Barria's previous five starts before Wednesday when he allowed five runs on seven hits in three innings versus the White Sox. Barria has pitched well on the road though giving up just eight runs in 26 1/3 innings for a 2.73 ERA. Blake Snell actually has pitched better on the road than at home where he is 3-4 with a 3.86 ERA compared to a 2.72 ERA away from home. San Diego is one of the biggest underachievers this season with a high payroll and a 38-46 record and the Padres have lost seven of their past eight games, including 4-3 to Cincinnati on Sunday. They have averaged only 2.86 runs in those seven losses. The Angels have won 13 of 18 in the first game of a series. Take the Angels as a Max Play.
