Los Angeles got a rare victory on Tuesday winning 9-0 over the Pirates, who had a three-game win streak snapped. Pittsburgh will look to bounce back to day with Martin Perez on the mound and his teams are 12-8 in 20 career starts against the Angels and 21-6 overall when he starts versus teams with losing records. Perez has pitched better than his record indicates as he has a 3.15 ERA and he has allowed more than three runs just once in seven starts this season. Jose Soriano is 1-4 and the Angels have lost five of his seven starts and the Angel bullpen is second-worst in the American League with a 5.09 ERA with only seven saves.
