Los Angeles at Oakland

Oakland has shown some promise lately and it has won two straight over the Angels, who have packed it in for the year. The Athletics are 34-33 on the runline in home games giving bettors something positive to look at even though Oakland will finish with a 100-plus loss season. The Athletics won 2-1 on Saturday when Brent Rooker hit a two-run homer in the fourth and Los Angeles was held to six hits. Tyler Anderson is 5-6 with a 5.58 ERA and 1.55 WHIP for the Angels and he has been pummeled for 19 runs on 22 hits his past four starts in only 18 1/3 innings. Los Angeles has lost 21 of its past 29 games and they have lost six of the past eight meetings at Oakland. The Angels still have Mike Trout on the injured list and they have released several players.
