Los Angeles at Oakland

We've been on the Angels successfully a lot this week and like 'em again alot today as a small dog. They've won seven of eight games averaging over six runs per game while giving up under three. Folks, this team is red hot yet we aren't having to lay the kind of wood we should be. Here we get another gift of a line. LA starts Ervin Santana who has won five straight games and is 9-3 on the season. Dan Haren has pitched well for Oakland but he's still just 6-6 on the season and 2-3 at home. He just doesn't get the kind of run support he needs. Oakland is scoring just 4.3 runs per game at home this season and just 3.3 per game over their last seven games. LA is 14-8 now as a small road underdog of +100 to +125. Small home favorites of -100 to -150 with an on base percentage of .300 or worse over their last 10 games are just 10-30 (25%) in July games over the past decade. And, home favorites up to -150 batting .225 or worse over their last 10 games and starting a pitcher who did not walk a hitter last outing are 12-36 (25%) over the same time span. Angels again here.
