Los Angeles at New York

New York looks to salvage the final game of the series with David Peterson starting for the Mets and he has been a different pitcher at home than on the road this season. Peterson has a 2.88 ERA while allowing 11 earned runs in 34 1/3 innings at Citi Field compared to 7.74 on the the road and the Mets hope to get at least five innings from him today. Los Angeles batters are 5-for-19 against him with no extra-base hits. Griffin Canning is 7-4 with a 4.61 ERA for the Angels and he'll be starting his first game since July 25 and he has made two relief appearances since. The Angels are without injured Mike Trout again and are out of the playoff picture and still are only 31-34 on the road.
