Jered Weaver had a Cy Young look to him through his first six starts where he allowed just 5 earned runs. While he has pitched well since, he has been a lot more hittable of late and has allowed 15 runs in his last 31 innings for a 4.35 ERA - very ordinary numbers. The Twins’ bats are showing some life finally, plating 42 runs in their last eight games, at better than a 5-run clip per game. The Angels’ offense appears to be a bat or two shy from where they were over the past several years. With Weaver on a down cycle and the Twins’ bats coming to life, I like Minnesota on the runline.
