Los Angeles at Houston

The Los Angeles Angels have failed to make the playoffs the last two seasons, despite having enough talent on the roster to appear like a playoff team. This is a team that has now under-achieved for two years, and with nothing left to play for against a team on their way to a third consecutive 100 loss season, I just don't see any drive or purpose coming from them in this series. Houston deserves some credit, as despite their woes, have stuck around mentally late in the season. They finished 11-10 a year ago, and right now own a 5-3 mark in their last eight, including three straight wins. Los Angeles' mindset has been in another place, as evidenced by their 7-16 record in their last 23 games vs. an opponent under .400. Play on Houston.
