Los Angeles at Houston

Houston has won four of the first six meetings between these two in 2022, including the opener of this home stand, 8-2 on Monday. The Angels fought back for a 7-2 win last night, scoring five runs in the fifth and tying a season-high with 13 hits. Shohei Ohtani is on the hill for Los Angeles today and that has earned them a road favorite designation, but so far he is 0-2 with a 7.56 ERA in two starts, logging just 8 1/3 innings of work. Ohtani is 0-3 in six career starts against the Astros, posting a 5.92 ERA. The Astros are without Jose Altuve (hamstring), but LA slugger Mike Trout is questionable with a hand injury. Trout could return tonight, but I like the value on Houston here. The Astros were 7-3 at home against the Angels last season and they hold a 45-22 edge when hosting LA over the long term. Find some plus-money and take Houston to win.
