Los Angeles at Detroit

Detroit appears to finally have found some batters who can actually hit after several years of rebuilding and the Tigers have won 12 of 15 (and five in a row) after defeating the Angels 6-2 on Tuesday night. Riley Greene and Kerry Carpenter homered in a three-run sixth inning and they got another good performance by a rookie pitcher as Brant Hurter allowed two runs on four hits in five innings. Tonight the Tigers face Griffin Canning, who is 4-11 and Los Angeles has lost his past three starts although he threw six shutout innings against Toronto on Thursday. The Angels have gone UNDER six of nine and they have fallen into last place in the American League West. The Angels have lost six straight road games and Detroit has won five in a row against right-handed starters. The Tigers are 6-0 UNDER their past six home games and the UNDER is 4-0 in Canning's past four road starts against teams with winning records. Take the Tigers and the UNDER.
