Los Angeles at Detroit

Detroit has turned things around, winning 9 of 14 after starting out 2-10. In this one Justin Verlander faces off against Jered Weaver. Verlander had a nice outing last game but still has a 5.93 ERA and 1-3 record. Jered Weaver has been a bit better. The Angels are 9-5 on the road and can certainly hang offensively with the Tigers. The past three seasons the Angels have a winning record as an underdog while Detroit has been a money-eater as a home favorite. Detroit has improved for sure but we aren't yet sold on Verlander's turnaround and the Angels are a very good road team. We'll take them here at the + juice.
