Underperforming Cleveland is on a bit of a roll having won three straight and four of five. LA is 11-16 on the road while Cleveland is 16-11 at home. Laying just -120 on the home squad here is more than tempting. Especially when we get to face a rookie in only his second start. Sure, Weaver was outstanding against Baltimore in his first outing but he's still a rook. Cleveland has the bullpen advantage as LA's has a 6.24 road ERA and Cleveland's has been playing well of late. Home teams starting a pitcher with an ERA between 5.70 to 6.20 and a hot bullpen whose WHIP is under 1.200 the last 10 games are 34-12 (74%) over the last 5 seasons. Cleveland also has a huge offensive advantage. They are scoring 5.8 per game and 6.2 vs. right handed starters while Los Angeles is scoring 4.4 per game and 4.7 vs. righties. Look for the rookie to get a rude awakening here and Cleveland to win.
