The LA Angels were supposed to be a juggernaut, but have been anything but, stuck in last place because of all kinds of offensive problems. They ate No. 23 in runs scored, No. 25 in on-base percentage and No. 24 in slugging. Where have you gone, Albert Pujols? Oh, he's with them, just not living up to the hype and in a new league. This slump actually goes back to last season as the Angels are 8-20 in their last 28 overall. Making matters worse here is starter Ervin Santana (0-4, 7.23 ERA), who just hasn't had it, giving up 10 home runs in 23 innings! The Angels are 0-8 in Santana's last eight starts. First-place Cleveland is on a 9-5 run and is getting more out of their starter than the Angels are. Newcomer righty Derek Lowe (3-1, 3.00 ERA) has his sinker working in April and has walked only 8 in 24 innings. The Indians are 23-11 in their last 34 home games vs. a team with a road winning percentage of less than .400 and the Angels are 3-8 in Santana's last 11 starts against the Indians. Play the Indians.
