The Boston Red Sox were a good team last year and when they added Crawford and Gonzalez to their lineup and fortified their bullpen with Jenks and Wheeler, they looked like they would be an unstoppable force in the AL East. It may be the pressures of having the best team on paper in the AL that is getting to them as they reside below .500 through 30 games. The Angels beat Josh Beckett last night and will face their former teammate in Jon Lackey today. The Angels are 7-0 in Piniero's last seven starts on regular four days rest, while Lackey remains inconsistent in a Sox uniform at 2-6 in his last eight following a quality start his last time out. I’m backing the Angels in this one.
