The Angels have proven to be a better team than Boston this season, but I have to question if that is true on the road behind Ervin Santana. Santana has been the weakest link in an otherwise solid Angels’ rotation, but his 5.59 ERA on the season isn't very convincing, especially when you consider that ramps up to 6.47 on the road, and Fenway park isn't exactly pitcher-friendly. The Red Sox are getting some innings and life out of Aaron Cook who has allowed 3 runs or less in seven of his last nine starts, and certainly appears to have more to offer here on the mound. The Angels have also failed to find the win column vs. the rugged AL East with Santana on the hill at 0-8 in their last 8. Boston has been very challenging for LA as the Angels are a woeful 3-15 in their last 18 against them. Play on Boston.
