Arizona sits atop the NL West by a half-game in front of second-place Colorado. Meanwhile, the Angels are once again are mired in mediocrity at 12 1/2 games out of first in the AL West. The Diamondbacks have won four of their last five games which were all on the road and now they come home where they are 32-29, and the Angels have lost 23 of their last 33 road games. Also, Los Angeles has lost 19 of its last 27 following a day off. The Diamondbacks have won Patrick Corbin's last five starts and he is 10-4 with a 3.18 ERA on the season. The left-hander is 3-0 with a 2.66 ERA in August and Corbin has a .211 opponent batting average at home this year.
