The Kansas City Royals were just beaten and swept by one hot team in the Houston Astros, and now turn to another hot team as the Toronto Blue Jays walked-off last night for their ninth straight win. Right now it looks like Toronto is the flavor of the day, but remember that last year they won 11 straight, and finished 14 games under .500, so they are looking a lot better than they actually are, and the line has been inflated accordingly. James Shields is on a streak of his own, at 6-3 on the season with a 2.95 ERA, but is 6-1 in his last seven starts, and he is 12-6 with a career 3.09 ERA vs. Toronto. R.A. Dickey has not been the pitcher the Jays thought they were getting, and he is just 3-3 vs. the Royals with a 4.09 ERA. The Royals own a 17-5 mark in Shield's last 22 road starts, and will put an end to the streak tonight. Go with Kansas City.
