Kansas City at Tampa Bay

Kansas City has recovered to win five of its past seven games after a recent long losing streak and the Royals have been getting good pitching performances allowing only five runs their last five games although they do come off a 2-1 loss in 10 innings to the Rays on Wednesday. Tampa Bay had its 11-game winning streak snapped by the Royals on Tuesday and it faces Brady Singer today and he is coming off two quality starts, including a 6-3 win over Detroit when he gave up three runs on six hits in 6 1/3 innings. Shane McClanahan has been knocked around for six runs on 11 hits in 9 1/3 innings at home where he has a 5.79 ERA and in three day games he has allowed nine runs on 15 hits in 13 1/3 innings. The Rays have lost six of their past seven home games versus teams with losing records. Take the Royals.
