Kansas City at Seattle

I've beaten up on the Royals a lot here. When we get them on the road, it's always worth a look. Simply fading them in every road contest this year would have netted a $100 bettor $13,300 in profit so far. They are 5-25 away from home scoring 3.1 runs and giving up 6.7. Given the price we need to lay, we need to pick our spots and this is one of them. We've faded them the past two nights and we'll make it three in a row here. We won two nights ago 4-0 and last night 12-1. But, I like this situation best. This is the ninth straight road game for the Royals and they are beaten down. They are just looking forward to getting out of this road trip and back home. Seattle has shown why they own the Royals. The Mariners are now 14-4 vs. KC over the past three seasons including 9-1 here at home. Like they need even more of an edge, the Mariners start Jarrod Washburn (3.89 ERA - 2.85 at home) while Mark Redman goes for KC. Redman has a 6.88 ERA and he is 2-25 as an underdog the last two seasons. KC is now off 3 straight losses and they are 3-21 in that situation this season. Road underdogs of +150 or more batting .255 or worse, after scoring 2 runs or less 2 straight games are an amazingly horrible 8-51 (14%) over the last 5 seasons. Seattle huge here!
