Zack Grienke lit up the baseball world with an impressive start to the 2009 season. Greinke was 7-1 pitching to a 0.60 ERA. What has followed is respect from the oddsmakers, but no results for the Royals. Over his last 55 starts, the Royals are 21-34 and his ERA has been a pedestrian 4+. Minnesota has lit him up in a big way. The last 20 innings Grienke has faced the Twins, he has allowed 20 earned runs, for an ERA of nine. Brian Duensing seems to be the next top lefthander for the Twins, who keep developing quality pitching. Like Santana and Liriano before him, he is opening eyes with 100 innings of work and a 2.09 ERA. He has been virtually untouchable at home pitching to an even lower 1.30 ERA. I like the Twins in this one.
