Kansas City at Minnesota

Yordano Ventura is in another good stretch with six good starts in a row, allowing no more than three runs in any of them. Ventura comes off a 7-1 win over Toronto on Sunday when he gave up just one run and five hits in 6 2/3 innings. Minnesota hitters have a combined .211 batting average against the right-hander. Kansas City has won two in a row after Danny Duffy's complete game win yesterday over the White Sox which gave the Royals bullpen some much needed rest after a 14-inning win the night before. Kyle Gibson is 4-6 with a 4.86 ERA and has been shaky his last two starts, even though  the Twins won both. Gibson has given up eight runs and 16 hits his last 9 2/3 innings with five walks. The Royals have won four of their last five while the Twins are on a three-game losing streak. Kansas City has won 21 of the last 29 games in Minnesota and the Twins have lost 27 of their last 36 home games against right-handed starters. Back the Royals.
