Despite being in last place, Minnesota's offense has been hitting the baseball so much better than a year ago because of the return to health of Joe Mauer (.329) and Justin Morneau (4 homers), plus the addition of Josh Willingham (.333, 5 homers). This offense is fifth in batting average (.263) and No. 10 in on-base percentage. They face soft-throwing lefty Bruce Chen of the Royals, who is 2-4 with a 4.78 ERA against them, allowing 69 hits and 15 walks in 58 innings. Minnesota has lost two in a row, but both were by one run in 7-6 scores. In fact, they have played eight one-run games this season, including three of the last four (all losses). With an improved offense, home field and a guy on the mound who throws strikes (Jason Marquis), the value with this one is Minnesota to win the game or lose by one run. Play the Minnesota Twins on the runline.
