Jose Fernandez is 12-7 with a 3.05 ERA and pitching at home where he has been almost invincible in his career. This season Fernandez is 9-2 at Marlins Park and the previous three seasons the right-hander was 17-0 with a 1.40 ERA on his home field. Six Kansas City hitters have faced Fernandez and they are a combined 1-for-16 against him. Miami has won 30 of Fernandez's 35 home starts overall. Dillon Gee managed a win against last-place Minnesota his last start after a terrible outing against the Twins previously when he gave up five runs and 11 hits in 5 1/3 innings on August 13. The Royals have also lost five of Gee's last six starts. Kansas City is an ugly 25-39 on the road, so take the Marlins.
