Kansas City at Detroit

The Detroit Tigers were supposed to have enough pieces to contend with the Kansas City Royals, but that never seemed to be the case from start to finish. The Royals own a commanding 10.5 game lead in the AL Central. Kansas City has begun resting players and positioning themselves from a well earned season, to be ready, rested, and have the rotation set for the playoffs, as they will enter with the best record in the AL. The Royals have been leaking oil lately vs. left-handed pitching, dropping their last four against one. They have also appeared to have lost some interest with a huge lead at just 4-10 in their last 14. The Tigers have won four of five and appear to still be invested in their season.
