Kansas City at Detroit

Kansas City went right back to losing after snapping a nine-game slide with a walk-off win on Saturday and the Royals lost 5-2 to the Angels on Sunday to fall to 19-52 on the season. The Royals have averaged 2.3 runs per game their past nine losses and the 10 runs they scored two days ago is an anomaly. Detroit took three of four from Minnesota while getting good pitching with just enough offense. The Tigers won 6-4 yesterday and Spencer Torkelson and Kerry Carpenter hit consecutive homers in a five-run fifth. Reese Olson will make his fourth start for Detroit and his first two were good, but then he got lit up against Atlanta, but the Tigers have a decent bullpen.. Jordan Lyles is having a historically bad year for Kansas City with a 0-11 record and 6.89 ERA overall and 0-5 and 9.10 on the road making one wonder why he still is in the major leagues. Detroit has won seven of the past nine meetings. Take the Tigers as a Max Play.
