Kansas City at Detroit

The Kansas City Royals are a completely different offense on the road than they are at home. The Royals offense has produced 4.5 runs per game at home, but when they take to the road they are the least productive team in baseball at 3.3 runs a game. The Tigers on the other hand, are one of the top producing teams at home, with 5.6 runs a game in their own park. Gil Meche has not been getting it done this season, as the Royals have posted just a 2-9 mark in his last 11 starts and 3-11 in his last 14. The Tigers have been pouring it on at home, where they have now won eight straight. Overall, they have now won four of five of Armando Galarraga's starts. I like the Tigers to take the series opener here over the Royals.
