Zack Greinke came out of nowhere to begin the '09 season. He allowed zero runs over his first four starts, and just four over his first eight. There isn't a pitcher in baseball that can hold those numbers and Greinke isn't about to be the first. He has come back down to Earth of late, and his last two starts, he has allowed more runs than he did combined in his first 10 starts! The numbers show him with a six ERA over his last two, and the big run is catching up with him. The Royals are also in a slide as they have gone just 7-22 in their last 29. That includes 19 of the 29 scoring three runs or less, and five times they have been shutout. The Indians go with Jeremy Sowers who is getting his arm strength back and pitching better, and he has good numbers vs. the Royals at 2-1 with a career 3.43 ERA. The Royals are sliding, and Greinke has fallen off the pedestal. I will back the Indians as a home dog here.
