Despite being out of the playoff race, the Chicago White Sox have continued fighting, and playing hard. They have split the first two games in this series, with the loss occurring last night in an extra frame. The series has been a dead heat with both teams scoring seven runs. Kansas City will go with Kris Medlen, who saw his ERA rise to 4.30 after last game, in a dreadful outing vs. Cleveland where he did not survive the fourth inning. John Danks looked to be a pitcher at the end of his career early this season, but he fought off the struggles. Over his last five starts has allowed three or fewer runs, including a complete game win vs. Kansas City. The Royals have taken their foot off the gas late in the season, and are just 1-8 in their last nine following a win. Danks has also stymied this Royals attack in his last five starts against them at home, where the White Sox are a perfect 5-0. Take the home team in this one.
