Neither of these teams are in contention for as much as a Wild Card game this season as they each are in a rebuilding mode. The White Sox held the upper hand in the series opener last night, winning 9-6, giving the Pale Hose some well needed momentum, as they have now won two straight games for the first time since June 26th. The Royals at 26-67, projecting to a woeful 117 losses. Unfortunately for them, their recent play has been far worse, having claimed victory just one time in their last 13 games. They have gotten very little from the mound or plate, and over the 13 game stretch they have been out-scored 85-48. Take the White Sox.
