Boston just keeps on winning and has opened up a three-game lead over Tampa Bay in the AL East after defeating the Royals 6-2. The Red Sox won their sixth straight as J.D. Martinez hit a go-ahead three-run homer in the third. Kansas City has lost eight in a row and it may be time for a managerial change as it never seems to improve. Nathan Eovaldi is 8-4 with a 3.67 ERA and the Red Sox have won five of his past seven starts, including a 4-2 win over the Yankees on Saturday when he allowed a run on seven hits in 7 2/3 innings. Kris Bubic will make his seventh start and he has allowed 24 earned runs on 48 hits in 48 1/3 innings this season. The Royals are 49-107 their past 156 road games versus right-handed starters and Boston is 13-3 its last 16 games as a home favorite. Play the Red Sox.
