The evidence of the Red Sox horrific season was on full display last night. They scored 13 runs at home and still lost the game 14-13. It has left them eight games under .500 at home for the season, something we haven't seen at Fenway Park for quite some time. Boston is just 10-15 when Jon Lester takes the mound. His 5+ ERA on the season is still a mystery, especially with the 2-8 mark at Fenway where his ERA is an out-of-touch 6.83 on the season. The Royals opened 3-14, but have been just shy of a .500 team since then. They have been even better lately as they are 14-8 over their last 22 as this team continues to grow. Boston is playing on reputation right now and not reality and the oddsmakers are as well. The truth is that they are 5-17 in their last 22 at home to a line of -151 to -200.
