Kansas City at Boston

The Boston Red Sox are five games out of the wildcard race in the AL, and have a great opportunity to make up some ground in this home series vs one of the worst teams in MLB this year, the Kansas City Royals, They opened the homestand with a 6-2 win over Kansas City, and after this series have three with Detroit at home. They need to sweep these seven games, or at least go 6-1 and they will find themselves right in the thick of things. Kansas City is 36-68 on the season. The Royals surprisingly had a recent surge winning seven straight games, but have fallen back losing their last three. The reality is Kansas City is 4-17 in the games before and after the streak. I think the Royals had their moment, and are on a significant slide around that moment. Make the play on Boston.
