Kansas City at Baltimore

Baltimore won its fourth straight, 7-2 over the Royals, on Tuesday night to improve its home record to 32-21 while Kansas City fell to 25-27 on the road.  Jeremy Hellickson will make his first start for the Orioles after coming over from the Phillies. Hellickson pitched in the American League previously and Kansas City hitters have just a .346 slugging percentage against him in 130 at-bats and a .262 batting average. Jason Vargas has allowed 15 runs on 27 hits in 18 2/3 innings his last four starts, and July was his worst month this season when he recorded a 7.23 ERA. Baltimore has won seven of its last nine home contests and it is 5-0 its last five games against left-handed starters. The Royals have lost six in a row at Baltimore. Take the Orioles.
