Verlander has a 0.64 ERA in September, which followed a 4-1 record and 2.36 ERA in August with Detroit. The Astros have already clinched the second-best record in the American League and are one game behind Cleveland for home field advantage throughout the AL playoffs. Houston has won 10 of its last 12 games and four of its last five road contests. Texas has lost five straight and is just waiting for its disappointing season to end. The Rangers are also 0-6 in Nick Martinez's last six starts. Martinez is 3-7 with a 5.42 ERA overall and his ERA has been over 7.00 in each of the last three months. Take the Astros.
