The Texas Rangers have had one of the easiest schedules over the last 45 days or so, and finish the season playing seven games vs. teams that are under .500. That being said, the Rangers are now on the outside looking in, trailing the Cleveland Indians by a game and a half for the final AL wildcard slot. Houston has turned in their third straight season of 100+ losses, and have lost nine straight games. Let's not forget about last year's finish, as the Astros going into the last week of the season had lost three straight, scoring a total of two runs, and went 5-2 in the final week, and shutout their opponents four times in the process. The Rangers are the better team, but they simply are not getting it done late in the season, and the odds just don't fit the situation here. Play on Houston.
