Houston at Texas

A young Houston squad has been a big disappointment at 5-10. The offense has slipped to #17 in runs scored and #16 in on-base percentage. The Astros are 3-for-24 with runners in scoring position, including a 1-for-12 showing in Wednesday's 2-1 loss to Texas. Dallas Keuchel is off a strong game but that was at home, and he's a different pitcher on the road (15-17 the last three-plus years). Last year he was 5-8 on the road, 15-0 at home! Houston is 6-15 against the Rangers since the start of the 2015 campaign and has been unable to get timely hits during the first two meetings this season. The Rangers have a good arm going in A.J. Griffin (3.27 ERA), with a 1.80 ERA at home. He's also 3-0 against Houston the last three years in 24 innings, striking out 32 and walking only six. With the Rangers 12-5 against a left-handed starter, grab the home dog and play on Texas.
