Houston at St. Louis

Kyle McClellan has stepped up in the absence of Adam Wainwright in the Cardinals’ rotation. He is off to a superb 5-1 start, and the Cards are also 7-1 in his eight starts. McClellan has also come up all aces at home, where the Cards are 4-0 this season when he toes the slab. The Astros were hoping that J.A. Happ would soon be the equal of Roy Oswalt in their rotation, but his progress has hit a speed bump this season as he owns a miserable 5.40 ERA. The Cards have the pitching edge here, but also a longtime edge at home vs. losing teams where they have amassed a 46-17 mark in their last 63, vs. teams that are under .400 on the road. St. Louis takes care of things in this one.
