Houston at St. Louis

The St. Louis Cardinals are 33-45 on the season and just have not been able to get anything going. The good news is they are in the NL Central and just eight games behind the Cincinnati Reds. The Cardinals are in one of their best runs of the season with six wins in their last eight games, taking the series opener last night. The Astros are a disappointing five games over .500 and this looks like a team that is a lot more vulnerable than recent seasons, and right now is a good time to face them as they are 3-8 in their last 11 games. The usually reliable Houston pitching has allowed 60 total runs in their last nine games, or almost seven runs per contest. I like St. Louis in this one.
