Houston at Seattle

Seattle snapped a four-game skid with a 9-5 win over Washington on Sunday when Julio Rodriguez drove in four runs with a homer and two singles and the Mariners maintained a three-game lead in the AL West. Houston beat Oakland 5-2, but the Astros have alternated wins and losses their past nine games. Houston is 0-4 in Framber Valdez's past four Monday starts and they have lost eight of nine road games versus teams with winning home records. Seattle has gone UNDER four of five as a home underdog and Bryce Miller will start tonight's game. Miller has a 0.97 WHIP this season and he has a 2.37 ERA and a .160 opponent batting average in five home appearances in 2024. Valdez had been pitching well before getting blasted for eight runs against the Los Angeles Angels on Monday although that was an outlier game for him. Seattle is 15-10 at home and Houston is 10-14 on the road. Take the Mariners and the UNDER.
