Houston at Seattle

Houston clobbered the Mariners 10-6 last night as Jose Altuve and Yuli Gurriel each hit a grand slam and the Astros pounded out 16 hits. Now they have Justin Verlander going tonight and he comes off a six-inning performance against the Yankees when he gave up three runs in six innings although he didn't get the decision in Houston's 4-3 win. Felix Hernandez left his last start early due to stomach flu and this will be his third start after giving up five runs (three earned) on 10 hits in 6 1/3 innings his first two outings. Hernandez was 0-7 with a 6.44 ERA after the All-Star break last year and he allowed four runs in six innings in one start against the Astros, who are 35-17 their last 52 meetings at Seattle. Houston is 19-4 in Verlander's last 23 road starts and 9-2 his last 11 starts overall. Play the Astros.
