Houston at San Diego

Houston has lost three of four after falling to the Padres 10-2 on Saturday when Fernando Tatis, Jr. hit a two-run homer and added a two-run single. San Diego is 42-30 at home and a half-game out of a playoff spot and sends Chris Paddack to the mound today. Paddack has been somewhat inconsistent, and he gave up a run on three hits in 4 2/3 innings against Arizona on Monday. The Padres have won his past four starts. The Astros will be seeing Paddack for the first time as will the Padres against Luis Garcia, who has pitched much better at home than on the road where he has a 4.85 ERA and a .254 opponent batting average compared to 1.83 and .185 at home. San Diego has won six of the past eight meetings and 12 of its past 17 interleague games overall. Take the Padres.
