Houston at Oakland

Houston swept a four-game series against the Athletics last week outscoring them 22-4 and the Astros have won 10 of 14 as they finally are making a move following a rough start to the season. Oakland has lost eight of 10 although it did enjoy a miraculous 10-9 11 inning victory on Thursday when they won on a walk-off walk that capped a five-run inning against Colorado. Justin Verlander has a 1.21 WHIP this season and Oakland batters are a combined 8-for-36 with one homer against him. Ross Stripling is 1-8 with a 5.19 ERA and a 1.56 WHIP and he has allowed 18 runs (11 earned) on 23 hits his past three starts in only 11 2/3 innings pitched. Houston has won four straight after allowing two or fewer runs its previous game and four in a row following a loss. Take the Astros as a Max Play.
