Houston at New York

New York inexplicably was no-hit by the Astros on Saturday and lost consecutive games for the first time since May 29. Today the Yankees will try to bounce back with Nestor Cortes on the mound, and he is 6-3 with a sparkling 2.31 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP this season. Cortes has been especially effective at home where he has allowed only six runs in 35 1/3 innings for a 1.53 ERA and a .154 opponent batting average. Jose Urquidy has been hit hard on the road, allowing 28 runs (27 earned) on 56 hits in 38 2/3 innings with a ghastly .327 opponent batting average. New York hasn't lost three straight since May 23, and it has won 40 of its past 56 versus right-handed starters overall (36 of 52 against righties at home). Also, Houston has lost its last four games versus left-handed starters. Take the Yankees.
