Houston at Los Angeles

Houston lost a tough one to the Angels last night 4-3 in 12 innings, but the Astros have still won seven of the last nine meetings and they have motivation to win as they battle for the best record in the majors. Houston currently is one game ahead of the Dodgers and two ahead of the Yankees for the best record and the Astros have been getting good pitching while allowing a total of only four runs their last three games. The Astros are 40-13 over their last 53 games versus left-handed starters and they have won 45 of their last 63 overall. Los Angeles has lost eight of its last nine home games against right-handed starters and 24-of-32 overall versus righty starters. Patrick Sandoval has a 5.25 ERA and will probably pitch only three or four innings. The left-hander gave up three runs in three innings against the Astros on Sept. 21. Back the Astros.
