Houston at Los Angeles

Los Angeles is still fighting for a playoff spot and the Angels are 38-31 at home and have Garrett Richards on the mound in tonight's matchup. The right-hander will make his third start since returning from the disabled list and the Angels won his first two although he was limited to less than five innings in a precautionary move. Richards has pitched well against the Astros the last three years, including a 4-3 record and 2.98 ERA and a batting average of .220. Houston has all but wrapped up the AL West, but the Astros have lost four straight and were swept in a three-game series at Oakland while being outscored 30-14.  The Angels have won four of their last five home games and are 30-14 in Richards' last 44 home starts dating to previous seasons.  Also, Los Angeles has won 19 of its last 26 against right-handed starters.
