Houston at Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Angels were supposed to win the AL West the past two years, but have severely under-ahieved. Signs point to this team finally living up to expectations as they are 24-19 on the season on the strength of an 8-2 run in their last 10 games. The pitching has been outstanding, allowing three runs or less in eight of the 10 games, while the offense has produced four or more in seven of the 10. The Astros are heading for another 100+ loss campaign on the heels of having already done so in each of the last three seasons. Houston stands at 16-28 on the season, which projects to 103 losses. Houston is an ugly 47-117 in their last 164 games vs. a right handed starter and just 11-41 in their last 52 vs. a winning team. The line is a chalky one, but looking at the Astros accomplishments, or lack thereof, it is not chalky enough. Play on Los Angeles.
