Houston at Los Angeles

Awful Houston is a long way from home, out West, their fifth straight road contest. They've been outscored by 90 runs, worst in all of baseball. Their offense is terrible, and their fielding is worse, which makes it even tougher on the pitching staff. The Astros come off a rare win, but are 16-35 in their last 51 games following a win. 22-year-old starter Jordan Lyles has allowed 37 hits and 12 walks in 32 innings, and the Astros are 10-35 in Lyles' last 45 starts. The Astros are 18-37 in their last 55 games vs. a left-handed starter and face veteran southpaw C.J. Wilson (4-3, 3.95), who owns a 4-2 record with two saves in 16 career meetings (six starts) against Houston. Los Angeles is on a 10-4 run, getting it together on offense, and has ace Jered Weaver back, which will help cement the staff.
