Houston at Los Angeles

Houston improved to 33-14 on the road with its 3-1 win last night and the Angels have scored a total of only eight runs over their last five meetings with the Astros while losing four of them. Justin Verlander looks to bounce back from an unexpected rough outing against Detroit, however, the right-hander is still 9-5 with a sparkling 2.29 ERA on the season. Verlander is 7-2 with a 1.99 ERA on the road where hitters are batting .198 against him and he has given up just two runs in 16 innings against the Angels this season. Los Angeles is only .500 at home and Nick Tropeano will make his first start since June 10 after coming off the disabled list and he has allowed 17 runs in 25 innings at home this year. The Angels have lost 21 of their last 28 games against teams with at least a .600 winning percentages and Houston has won four of the last five meetings at Angel Stadium. Play the Astros.
