Last place Houston is abysmal on the road. The only thing worse than their road record is their offense, 26th in baseball in runs scored, 29th in on base percentage and batting average (.237). The Astros are 50-131 in their last 181 road games, and 5-17 against a team with a losing record. Los Angeles has won two out of three, and plays its third straight home game. The offense is potent, seventh in runs scored and fourth in OBP with plenty of power. Lefty Jason Vargas (6-5, 3.86 ERA) is reliable and doesn't walk anyone. He's winning, too, with the Angels 7-3 in Vargas' last 10 starts, and 7-1 in his last eight starts as a favorite. The Angels are 4-1 in their last five games against a team with a winning percentage below .400, and 4-1 against Houston. Play the Angels.
